Updated Firmware Iridium GO!

iridium-go-300x187Iridium has released updated versions of Iridium GO! firmware (version 1.4.1) and Iridium GO! app on July 24th 2015. These versions are now available for download on iridium.com, and Apple and Android app stores respectively. List of various enhancements and fixes introduced in these versions are listed below.

Iridium GO! Firmware 1.4.1

The following list describes the enhancements and fixes included in Iridium GO! firmware version 1.4.1:

  • Support for SIM-less emergency calling (000) in Australia
  • Support for web browsing on Iridium Mail & Web app for iOS platform*
  • Improvements to audio quality during voice calls
  • Battery revision number added to device screen
  • Improved data network connection reliability

Iridium GO! app

Updated iOS & Android versions of Iridium GO! app are now available for download from Apple App store and Google Android store. The following list describes the enhancements and fixes included in Iridium GO! app:

  • Japanese character support added for text messages
  • Support for SIM-less emergency calling (000) in Australia
  • Simplified contact screen editing
  • 64-bit compliance with Apple app store publishing guidelines

Users are advised to upgrade their Iridium GO! device with the updated firmware and Iridium GO! app on their smartphone devices to benefit from these enhancements and fixes.

 

*Updated version of Iridium Mail & Web app is currently under testing and expected to be released soon. Partners and users will be notified when the updated version is available for download.
